HOT stuff Ben Parr is sending temperatures soaring on TV soap Hollyoaks - as Freddie, a stripping fireman.
And he’s keeping the family showbiz flame alive.
The 6ft blue-eyed pin-up, born January 16, 1987, is the son of St Elmo’s Fire rock star John Parr.
Black belt Ben, a three times junior Tae Kwon Do world champion, trained 20-hours a week in the gym for his Full Monty-style reveal on Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.
“When millions of people are going to see you stripping on TV you want to be in top shape. It’s great exposure. I hope I get the chance to develop the character,’’ said Ben.
He’s no stranger to the limelight – he grew up as dad John worked with showbiz royalty, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tina Turner , Meat Loaf , Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Demi Moore and the rest of the Brat Pack.
Ben did his school work experience on the Bond film set of Die Another Day and dreams of one day playing the super spy.
He only finished full time education little over a year ago. Emmerdale bosses have also shown an interest in him and he played a camp hairdresser in Oscar nominated short movie Road To Damascus, co-written and produced by his dad.
He fronted and lip-synced the music video for a remixed version of his dad’s St Elmo’s Fire, called New Horizon.
Ben lives with his dad, mum Sharon, younger brother James and his grandma Betty, near Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
The extreme sports fan is lucky to be alive after a downhill mountain-biking day out went almost tragically wrong. He tells all, talks about his life to date and future plans in the Q&A interview below
